This month America got a taste of renowned Iraqi designer Hana Sadiq, as she debuted her Fall 2011 line in Washington DC’s Lincoln Theater at the ADC sponsored event, “Turaath: A Celebration of Arab Culture.” Her line offers traditional styled dresses tailored for modern Arab woman that embodies elegance, modesty, and uniquely incorporates embroidery and calligraphy drawn from Arab culture. I loved Hana’s line for its elaborate designs, fabulous colors, and most of all it’s ever so PFH-ness! Most of her designs had long, full sleeves, and sweeping skirts.
