Nailah Lymus is a young Muslim designer who debuted her fashions on New York runways. She's PFH in my book for her constant efforts in trying to break stereotypes of Muslim women only wearing black and bland clothing. Her clothing and accessories line, Amira Creations, is full of bright colors, headpieces with funky feathers coming off of them, floral designs, and overall pizzazz. She designs for both Muslim and non Muslim women.
Lymus recently launched the world's FIRST Muslim female modeling agency called "The Underwraps" during New York Fashion Week. She's looking to sign up talent in the Gulf as her way of bringing Muslim influence to fashion internationally. Lymus said it beautifully, "Covered is the new couture." The trend of modest couture is catching up ladies and gentlemen!
