Hi yall! I know I haven’t posted in a while but SO much has happened while I was on tour! I’m going to be posting about the different experiences throughout different posts over the next few weeks.
If you haven’t been following me on Instagram, after the 4th Annual PFH Modest Fashion Convention I’ve been on tour recreating pop up shops in support of female Muslim entrepreneurship in different cities across the country. I went from LA to Cincinnati to DC to NYC, and my last stop is going to be this weekend in Sacramento! It has been quite the experience, and I was sure to document it on film so stay tuned for my VLOG of the tour coming soon!
My my myyyy, it has been a crazy past few weeks. I kick started my trip to New York with an amazing Influencer Dinner sponsored by the gracious Perrine Restaurant at The Pierre Hotel NY for female Muslim bloggers in the area in support of the NYFW All White After Party Pop Up Shop I co-organized with Nora Chamaa from Veiled Collection. I have to say the dinner was DE-LISH-US! The Executive Chef Ashfer Biju personally came out to introduce himself to the table and explained what we were having for dinner. Not only did he happen to be Muslim but he informed us that much of their food is HALAL! He kept checking up on us periodically to ensure we had everything that we needed. What I loved about our experience is that Perrine doesn’t just have amazing food but also an incredible staff dedicated committed to great cuisine and service.
The table shared a delicious Maine crab flatbread that I couldn’t keep my hands off. Then for the first course we had a lovely baby beet salad with kale and apple salad topped with a caramelized orange dressing - YUM. The second course was a black sea bass that was so flavorful. As for the third course, which I’m still dreaming about it. I had perfectly grilled lamb chops with a smoked tomato & peach compote. For dessert we had a warm blueberry cake with a lemon sauce that was perfectly sweet. I’m telling you everything we ate was SO GOOD.
Not to mention that the hotel itself is such a sight to see. Each part of the hotel offers its own unique experience from décor to the wall art. I couldn’t have been more pleased with our experience there. Thank you The Pierre Hotel for supporting Muslim women and treating us to an unforgettable luxury dining experience in the heart of New York City!
